![]() At that time I personally asked Andrew for an update. After 30 minutes pass, I moved outside to continue waiting and saw Andrew on the parking lot. I asked a different Service Writer who came into the customer waiting room about status on the vehicle and he replied that Andrew was my Service Writer and he’d tell Andrew that I need an update. Andrew didn’t provide even one status update on the service while I waited. I came in for an oil change, tire rotation and slow leak on my back tire. By the time I left the shop, 3 hours had passed. ![]() On my Saturday Apvisit, I rate customer service from Andrew at 0%. Shop ownership has changed in the last two to three years. Things have really gone downhill since he has become the Service Writer assigned to me. Every time I’ve dealt with Andrew (Service Writer), service has become progressively worst. Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced at the VW Service Shop in Irving, TX. It wasnt my intention to shed light on this event but they asked Now I have to take my car to someone other than Volkswagen to have it fixed.Im not sure why Volkswagen sent Me this review to fill out. Now the windows wont roll up and its raining outside. ![]() I took out the new starter, returned it and put in the original. ![]() I had to pay a tow truck to take the car home that I had originally drove to the shop. In the end I was told to come and get the car and they would not charge me. When management asked the mechanic to go look at the car, the mechanic was yelling and cussing about the car and refused to go. I asked management if I could show the mechanic the car with the new starter. After installing the new starter, the car would not start. I agreed to do so to prove my original starter was not bad and that it was the same electrical problem I came with that was causing my car not to start. After unsuccessfully talking with management at Principle I was told I could go down the street, buy a starter, and install it myself. I returned to Principle and showed them a video of the starter working. ![]() I took the starter to a third party company that specializes in starters to diagnose. I drove my car to Principle to have electrical problems diagnosed, my car was loosing all electrical while driving down the street. Once it came, they were able to provide a loaner until it was done! The loaner ended up getting a flat, during the time it was given, and they end up giving a courtesy due to this being travel hindering for Fourth of July weekend! I did get my car back and the check engine issue has subsided! Although they did not place the gas back into the vehicle before giving it back, I was just happy they were able to figure out the problem! I am glad they worked hard to get my converter fixed! I would definitely recommend and will be going back to Principle VW in the next month for my shock and strut replacement here soon! I will also be buying an Atlas or Atlas Cross Sport before the year is out! And will definitely be looking forward to buying one from Principle then! Special thanks to Andrew (Service) and Blake (Sales Manager) for the amazing service they provided! Since converters are hard to come by, they ordered a new one and I was on a wait for about a month and a half. I let them test it out for a weekend in May, to find out I needed another converter. After a month of waiting for the new piece, they worked on it for about a week! I had gotten my car back and the light came back on 3 times in April. And was informed that the sensor had gone bad on the converter. It has been an uphill battle since my catalytic converter had got stolen last year! And they have worked so diligently to make sure my needs were met throughout it all! I have taken my car in for check engine light issue back in February going into March. ![]()
